Scottish giants Rangers will take on the Blues as part of Town's pre-season programme. Alex McLeish's side will be at Portman Road on Tuesday, July 19th (KO 7.45pm).

Town's reserves lost 1-0 to an experienced Fulham side on Monday night. The Cottagers included Ian Pearce, Billy McKinlay and young defender Adam Green who have all experienced Premiership football this season. Matt Richards, Aidan Collins and 16-year-old Darryl Knights were all in the Town starting line-up.

Town striker Darren Bent is in the England U21 squad facing Wales and Azarbaijan next week. Neither Ian Westlake nor Matt Richards are included, both players having been involved with Peter Taylor's squad earlier in the season.

Scottish Premier League giants Rangers and Celtic are both reported to be interested in Town striker Pablo Couñago. Manager Joe Royle has confirmed an offer of a trial spell from Rangers but has not yet heard from their Glasgow rivals.
